Miscellaneous Metals Project Manager Description

Cannonball Recruiting is seeking an experienced Miscellaneous Metals Project Manager for a growing fabrication company in Pennsylvania.

This is an excellent opportunity for a project management professional with experience in miscellaneous metals, structural steel, or construction-related projects. The ideal candidate will oversee projects from award through completion, ensuring schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations are met.

Experience

• 3+ years of Project Management experience in miscellaneous metals, structural steel, or commercial construction
• Strong understanding of the fabrication and erection process for miscellaneous metals
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and change orders
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera preferred
• Experience with Tekla, Trimble, PowerFab, or FabTrol preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage miscellaneous metals projects from start to finish
• Coordinate with detailing, fabrication, field installation, subcontractors, and vendors
• Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and overall progress
• Prepare and manage change orders and project documentation
• Review specifications, drawings, and material requirements
• Maintain project records, reports, and as-built documentation
• Coordinate with contractors, customers, and other trades throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and project stakeholders

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Project Management experience in miscellaneous metals, structural steel, or commercial construction
• Strong understanding of fabrication and installation processes
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Valid U.S. Driver's License
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
