License: Registered Nurse License required.
Certifications: AHA BLS ACLS PALS ABLS CCRN (Certified Critical Care Nurse) CBRN (Certified Burn RN)
Must-Have: Proven experience in arterial line management. Experience with blood product administration. Ability to provide care for ventilated patients. Knowledge of continuous IV sedation. Skills in infection prevention and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Proficiency in phlebotomy and procedural sedation administration/monitoring. Ability to start and maintain IVs and perform suctioning (ETT, NT). Experience in trauma intensive care unit and ventilator management.
Description: The position requires a registered nurse specialized in burn care. Candidates should possess a current registered nurse license. Experience in a burn unit is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable floating to other facilities as needed. Daily patient ratios are 2 for day shifts. The daily census is approximately 10 patients. The unit consists of 14 rooms with a total of 16 beds. Interdisciplinary support will be available from various specialties. The patient population includes neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Travel experience is required, with preference given to those with prior teaching hospital experience.
