Project Manager – Steel Erection / Ironwork
Direct Hire Opportunity with Superior Skilled Trades
Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in steel erection, structural steel, ironwork, or related construction for a full-time direct hire opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Manage structural steel/ironwork projects from preconstruction through completion.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and milestones.
- Monitor project costs and proactively address potential overruns.
- Coordinate with Preconstruction, Estimating, General Superintendents, field teams, vendors, and suppliers.
- Identify and resolve field issues, scheduling conflicts, and project delays.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to project team members.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams, customers, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of project management and/or steel erection/ironwork experience.
- Strong background in structural steel, steel erection, ironwork, or commercial/industrial construction.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, field operations, and teams.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work closely with field personnel, superintendents, estimators, and vendors.
