Production Technician - Night Shift

Production Technician - Level 1 Summary: The Production Technician Level 1 is an entry level position for our Thermal Spray operation. Safe operation of specific equipment, material(s) or processes in order to produce quality coated components at required rate is a core function.Technicians will be responsible for conducting operational preventative maintenance procedures, addressing intermediate-level alarms, performing basic quality control procedures, using simple hand tools and systems during operations. Production Technician is a mid-level position for our Thermal Spray operation. Safe operation of specific equipment, material(s) or processes in order to produce quality coated components at required rate is a core function. Technicians will be responsible operating production equipment and adhering to SOPs, Quality Control Regulations, and Safety Regulations. Job Responsibilities: Operate and monitor automated production equipment to ensure efficient and consistent manufacturing output. Perform routine machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers to maintain production schedules and product specifications. Conduct in-process quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet established standards and specifications. Identify and address production issues or equipment abnormalities, escalating concerns to maintenance or supervision as needed. Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and machine guarding protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain accurate production and quality documentation, including batch records and inspection logs. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Perform basic preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure reliable operation. Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve operational issues and maintain production flow. Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards. Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Demonstrated ability to stay organized and maintain accurate production or quality records. Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to enter data and navigate production or quality tracking systems. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow established procedures. Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification through company-provided training. Location: Bowling Green, Ohio Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, or walk short distances for duration of shift. Will climb stairs on an occasional basis. Will lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Required to use hand to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel object repetitively on a frequent basis. May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis. May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis. Must be able to comply with safety standards and procedures. Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to; steel toed shoes, cut resistant gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection).
