Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance. Candidates must have practical P&C Insurance domain experience along with strong SQL Server and SSIS skills. The role will focus on developing and supporting ETL pipelines, maintaining enterprise data warehouses, optimizing SQL performance, and transforming insurance data into analytics-ready structures.

Job Requirements:

8–12 years of overall IT experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing.

Mandatory: Hands-on P&C Insurance experience working with policy, coverage, premium, claims, or transaction data.

Mandatory: Strong hands-on SQL Server/T-SQL experience, including complex queries, stored procedures, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Mandatory: Hands-on SSIS development and support experience, including batch ETL pipelines.

Understanding of the P&C policy lifecycle, including New Business, Endorsement, Renewal, Cancellation, and Reinstatement.

Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, including fact/dimension models, star/snowflake schemas, EDW/ODS, and historical data.

Experience with source-to-target mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and data quality.

Experience troubleshooting production data issues, investigating ETL failures, and performing root-cause analysis.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with business, application, and data teams.

Guidewire PolicyCenter or other insurance policy administration system experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, or Azure Data Factory is a plus.
