Job Title: General Production Press Operator - 2nd shift

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Press Operators for the 2nd shift at a valve steam and seal manufacturing facility. This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a non-climate-controlled environment, often 5-10 degrees hotter than outside temperatures in the summer. Responsibilities include handling and lifting up to 50 pounds to load and unload rubber materials and parts from machinery.

Responsibilities

• Start up machinery
• Load and lift raw material into mold machines
• Operate 2-4 presses simultaneously once trained
• Shut down and unload machinery
• Perform visual quality checks on finished products
• Conduct basic addition and subtraction to document specific job data on each ticket

Essential Skills

• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds up to 5 feet high
• Capability to work in environments that can reach 110 degrees in peak summer
• Basic addition and subtraction math skills
• Ability to document on job tickets - number of parts ran, scrap, etc.
• Experience working in non-climate-controlled facilities

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or as a press operator is beneficial

Work Environment

The facility is clean, organized, and smaller but bustling with activity. Despite the heat, fans are strategically placed in all aisle ways. The role requires working on the 2nd shift, Monday through Saturday, from 2pm to 10pm, with optional extended hours and occasional Sundays offering double-time pay.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Avilla, IN.

The pay range for this position is $20.85 - $21.85/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
