About the Role
The Company is in search of a Managing Director for Relationship Management to spearhead a variety of new business initiatives within the affordable housing sector. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for high-value investors, providing exceptional service and actively participating in the marketing of affordable housing investments. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in production, leadership, and risk assessment, capable of managing key accounts and leading strategic initiatives. The Managing Director will be responsible for the direct and strategic oversight of proprietary fund equity raises, building long-term relationships with investors, and ensuring a high-quality investor experience. Collaboration with internal departments is essential to meet the needs of investors and to represent their perspectives within the organization. Applicants for the Managing Director position should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and have a minimum of 8 years' experience in commercial real estate lending, development, or investment, with a focus on multifamily real estate transactions. A background in the LIHTC program is mandatory. The ideal candidate will have strong financial negotiation skills, be proficient in MS Office, and possess excellent presentation and communication abilities. Experience in managing a small team and a willingness to travel are also key requirements. The role demands a professional who can work effectively in a dynamic team environment and is adept at anticipating and meeting investor due diligence requests.
