Production Worker - CT Kit - 1st ShiftChelsea, MAGrade 3Full TimeSUMMARY: Responsible for producing food products efficiently while maintaining quality standards. This entry-level role involves performing basic, hands-on tasks such as assembling, packing, stacking, and palletizing food products.RESPONSIBILITIES:Visually inspect products for defects and remove any non-conforming itemsEnsure adequate quantities of products are available to meet order requirementsOperate and maintain a basic understanding of food processing and packaging equipmentFollow all sanitation and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environmentUnderstand and follow USDA and HACCP guidelinesRotate through various positions on the production line as neededBe open to cross-training and assist in other tasks or departments when requiredPerform other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Ability to perform all essential duties with accuracy and efficiencyBasic comprehension of simple instructions in EnglishAbility to follow verbal and written instructions and adhere to safety regulationsCapability to work in a cold, wet, and noisy production environmentPhysical ability to frequently lift, push, or move up to 50 poundsPrevious food manufacturing experience is a plusCompany Overview Kayem Foods is a family owned and operated craft meat business that has been making New England's favorite franks, sausages, and prepared meats in Chelsea, Mass. since its founding by Kaz Monkiewicz back in 1909. An employee's rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued wage growth.
