2nd Shift Forklift Operator

Now hiring: 2nd shift forklift operator – weekly pay! Looking for a forklift operator role with steady hours, competitive pay, and weekends off? Join our team as a 2nd shift forklift operator! Training will take place on 1st shift, giving you the support you need to succeed before moving to your regular 2nd shift schedule. $18.00–$20.00/hour (based on experience) Monday–Friday schedule Weekly pay every Friday Weekends off In this role, you'll safely move raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift. You'll also work with other material-handling equipment such as cranes, hoists, and hand trucks as needed. This is a great opportunity for experienced operators who enjoy staying active and keeping operations running smoothly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Accountabilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verifies that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, supports and complies with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED
• Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Previous forklift experience
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions
• Safety Mindset

Preferred Requirements:

• Use of handheld measuring tools
• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.

Job Compensation

$18.00 to $20.00
