Dignity Health Outpatient Center Position: Patient Service Specialist Status : Full‑time Hours : Must be open/flexible 8 am‑6 pm Monday‑Friday Pay Range : $18‑20 hourly depending on experience Location : 10630 Dean Martin Drive Las Vegas, NV (Southern Highlands) Job Benefits Competitive salary PTO Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401(K) Matching Employee Discount Growth opportunities on our career ladder Responsibilities Greets patients with exceptional customer service to create a positive patient experience Answers phone Utilizes medical office software to schedule new and follow‑up appointments for patients Insurance verifications, referrals, and pre‑authorizations Schedules patients' appointments and checks them in at arrival Collects co‑pays Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits Patient intake and data entry to ensure proper billing Completes daily billing reports and works with central billing office (CBO) Communicates and teams with clinic staff as well as all supporting departments to create an enjoyable, seamless experience Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications HS diploma or GED is required Preferred Experience Customer service experience required Knowledge of insurance verification preferred Healthcare, medical, dental office administration preferred Physical Requirements Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10‑key) throughout a work day/shift Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics Ability to carry office supplies up to 10 lbs Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions #J-18808-Ljbffr Select Medical
