Food Service Lead – Seward The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of AVTEC, is recruiting for a Food Service Lead located in Seward. This position is exempt from the Hiring Freeze and is available only to Alaska Residents. Responsibilities In the AVTEC cafeteria, using written and verbal instructions, you will prepare, cook, and serve meals for an average of 200 students per meal. You will maintain a clean work area and follow facility procedures for security, cleanliness, and serving. Under the direction of the Food Service Foreman, you will have delegated authority to change orders and assign work to Food Service Journey employees. Qualifications Food Service: Knowledge of preparing and serving food for consumption. Customer Service: Ability to work with clients and customers, assess needs, provide information, and resolve problems while maintaining quality service. Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, and concern for others; builds effective relationships and respects cultural diversity.
