Exec Director, PBC Marketing

Gilead

Gilead Sciences seeks an Executive Director of Marketing for Primary Biliary Cholangitis to lead commercial strategy and execution of the PBC business unit. The role requires extensive pharmaceutical marketing experience, strong cross-functional leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth and brand development in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute tactical and strategic marketing plans for the PBC product and market
Lead and develop a marketing team, providing coaching and talent development
Collaborate with sales, legal, medical, regulatory, and public affairs leadership
Manage marketing budget, optimize marketing mix, and achieve revenue targets
Build relationships with thought leaders, customers, and professional organizations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 16+ years pharmaceutical industry experience, or Master's with 14+ years, or PhD with 14+ years
Demonstrated expertise in marketing strategy, tactics, and commercial practices
Proven track record leading product launches and driving brand growth
Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and accelerated approval processes
Strong financial management skills including budget planning and revenue forecasting
Experience managing cross-functional teams and direct reports
Preferred: MBA and expertise in rare disease or liver disease marketing
