Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to take ownership of lease accounting and support key financial processes. This role will play an important part in the month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with technical accounting matters, improving processes, and collaborating across departments.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle lease accounting, including initial setup, modifications, remeasurements, and terminations.
- The Senior Accountant will maintain accurate lease records and supporting schedules.
- Support month-end and year-end close through journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- The Senior Accountant will prepare and analyze account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to leadership to support business decisions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for lease accounting and provide guidance on related accounting matters.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and resolve accounting issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with lease accounting and technical accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems; Oracle Fusion and LeaseQuery are a plus.
