Senior Accountant

To Apply for this Job Click Here Senior Accountant - Waterbury, CT Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant \/ Accounting Manager to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and close activities. This hands-on role will help maintain financial accuracy, assist with compliance requirements, and support the organization's reporting and audit processes.
Responsibilities

- Record and maintain accounting transactions within the general ledger.
- Support monthly and annual financial close processes.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with financial reporting and revenue tracking activities.
- Coordinate documentation and schedules for audits and compliance reviews.
- Support grant, contract, and funding-related accounting functions.
- Help ensure accurate financial records and reporting deadlines are met.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
