Role Overview Provides direct patient care on a cardiothoracic/cardiology floor, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and ensures safety and quality compliance. Develops individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, considering patient preferences, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs. Key Responsibilities Assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients Communicate care plans effectively across the continuum of care Participate in professional development and safety initiatives Support post-treatment care, medication management, and patient education Qualifications & Skills RN license required Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred for higher education Background in cardiothoracic or cardiology nursing preferred Additional Notes This is a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.
