Title: Sr Product Manager

Location: Indianapolis, IN (1ST choice) or San Antonio, TX Hybrid (3 days onsite a week)

Type: 12 Month Contract - potential hire post contract

Role summary: Under limited direction, leads the vision, strategy, and execution of product initiatives across a domain or capability of Client. Partners with senior leaders to define product roadmaps, align with organizational goals, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and business outcomes. Provides thought leadership in product management practices and ensures integration with technology strategies. May oversee a team of product managers, product owners, and cross-functional individual contributors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a culture of excellence, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions:

• Leads long-term product visioning, strategy development, and planning aligned with organizational goals and customer needs.

1. Partners with senior leadership to define product roadmaps and ensure integration with business strategies.

1. Oversees resource planning and budget alignment for product initiatives; monitors performance against strategic objectives.

1. Acts as sponsor for key projects, ensuring oversight and successful delivery of business outcomes.

1. Facilitates cross-functional collaboration and decision-making to improve client experience and supporting processes.

1. Product and Portfolio Management

• • Defines and evolves product management competencies, standards, and best practices across the organization.

1. 1. Establishes governance frameworks and prioritization models for product portfolios to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.

1. 1. Monitors product performance and success metrics; leverages insights to inform strategy and continuous improvement.

1. 1. Represents product management in enterprise forums and communicates the value proposition of the function.
2. Oversees execution of product roadmaps, ensuring adherence to standards and alignment with strategic priorities

1. People Management and Team Development
   • Builds and leads high-performing teams; establishes clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability for delivery.

1. 1. Provides coaching and mentorship to team members, fostering growth and capability development.

1. 1. Oversees talent lifecycle, including hiring, performance management, and succession planning.

1. 1. Drives engagement and team morale through transparent communication, motivation, and continuous feedback.

1. 1. Makes informed decisions on compensation, promotions, and career development to strengthen organizational capability.

1. Change Management
   • Establishes and implements comprehensive change management programs.

1. 1. Anticipates and addresses organizational impacts; designs strategies for training, user adoption, communication, and engagement.

1. 1. Prepares the organization for significant and transformational change initiatives.

1. 1. Develops and executes change management plans for all products, domains and initiatives (e.g., process changes, knowledge management, organizational changes, metrics, risk, compliance, continuous improvement).

1. Culture & Contribution

o Models organizational values and fosters an inclusive, high-performance culture.

o Promotes innovation and continuous improvement across teams and functions.

o Sets strategic tone and ensures alignment with core philosophies throughout the organization.

Skills/qualifications:

Defines and drives long-term product vision, strategies, roadmaps, and business cases aligned with enterprise objectives.

Maintains awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to inform strategic decisions.

Partners with executive leadership and influences decision-making across multiple business units and functions.

Communicates complex strategies and insights clearly to senior stakeholders to drive alignment and consensus.

Builds and leads high-performing teams; provides coaching, mentorship, and succession planning to elevate organizational capability.

Oversees talent lifecycle, including hiring, performance management, and career development; fosters an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Responsible for product portfolio performance using advanced analytics, voice of customer (VOC) insights, and market research to optimize engagement and results.

Reviews and approves product requirements and prioritization decisions, ensuring clarity and alignment for development partners.

Leads cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-level strategic initiatives and transformational programs.

Models organizational values, champions innovation, and demonstrates strategic thinking, resilience, and adaptability.

Preferred certifications : Advanced Product Management, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or equivalent.
