For more information, visit Locations Miami, FL; Sunrise, FL; Boca Raton, FL Responsibilities Prepare and review financial statements for nonprofit and other clients in accordance with GAAP and applicable standards. Supervise and mentor associate staff and interns on engagements, reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness. Perform general audit procedures, including coordinating audit closing communications, drafting client correspondence, and resolving open items. Apply nonprofit‑specific accounting and auditing standards relevant to the client’s organizational structure and funding sources. Research technical accounting and auditing issues using firm‑approved online tools and authoritative literature. Assist senior team members in managing client engagements from planning through completion while managing budgets and timelines. Maintain proactive communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and adhere to deadlines. Prepare and review audit workpapers and documentation in accordance with firm and professional standards. Broaden technical expertise by reviewing complex client transactions and collaborating with managers on technical conclusions. Participate in professional development, continuing education, and firm‑sponsored training on a regular basis. Support business development activities and contribute to building positive, lasting client relationships. Take on additional related duties as assigned. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting. CPA license or active pursuit of CPA licensure strongly preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a public accounting firm. Demonstrated nonprofit audit experience across a variety of nonprofit entity types. Experience with nonprofit accounting and ERP software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Blackbaud, or QuickBooks Nonprofit) a plus. Proficiency in audit engagement software (e.g., CaseWare, CCH Engagement, or ProSystem Fx) preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate complex accounting matters clearly. Ability to supervise, review, and provide constructive feedback to junior staff. Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention‑to‑detail skills. Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
