BI Analyst/Report Developer

Job Title

Conduct BigID manual scans as required to identify, classify, and protect sensitive data across the organization and develop custom reqexes to identify specific data attributes.

Consult with clients to assist in remediating false positives and negatives identified through BigID scans, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.

Investigate BigID scan findings in collaboration with clients, providing expert analysis and recommendations.

Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards related to scan coverage, PII identification, and data source inventory using Tableau.

Derive insights from scan automation data.

Verify the accuracy of PI dashboards by systematically identifying and correcting false positives and negatives.

Work closely with data security teams to improve data classification, protection strategies, and compliance measures.

Provide training and support to clients and internal teams on utilizing dashboards for effective data management and security.

Assist engineering teams in making data-driven decisions through ad-hoc analysis and support on project-based work, enhancing the data-driven culture within the organization.

Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data security, privacy laws, and dashboard development to continuously improve processes and tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a strong background in requirements gathering, stakeholder management and storytelling.

Previous experience with Data Privacy or Data Discovery or BigID scanning.

Strong background in client consultation and partnership, with a focus on remediation strategies for data accuracy.

Expertise in Tableau for developing and managing dashboards.

Demonstrated ability to identify false positives and negatives, ensuring the integrity of data used in dashboards.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Knowledge of data protection regulations and compliance requirements.

Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with teams and clients.

Experience in providing data analysis support to engineering teams, driving data-driven decision-making.
