About the Job

Connected/Alien labs Packaging Technician II plays a crucial role in the production and distribution process by ensuring that products are securely and efficiently packaged. This role involves collaborating with production teams to meet quality standards, maintain a streamlined packaging process, and contribute to overall operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

Packaging Operations:

• Execute the packaging of various cannabis products, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Operate packaging machinery and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Monitor and maintain packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Print primary labels as needed.
• Assist to ensure pre-ops check (PPE, raw materials, etc.).
• Alert management of any operational issues.

Quality Control:

• Conduct quality checks on packaged products to ensure they meet specified standards.
• Identify and report any discrepancies or defects in the packaging process.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve quality issues.
• Verify batch sheets for accuracy.

Compliance:

• Stay current on cannabis regulations and packaging requirements.
• Ensure all packaging activities adhere to local and state regulations.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records related to packaging processes for compliance purposes.

Inventory Management:

• Assist in managing inventory levels of packaging materials.
• Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of packaging supplies.
• Report any shortages or issues with packaging materials.

Team Collaboration:

• Coaching, mentoring, cross-training operators. Support / manage 3rd party temp labor.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in production, quality assurance, and other departments to achieve production goals.
• Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of cannabis products, packaging processes, and safety protocols.

What We Are Looking For

• Must be 21+ years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-3 years leadership experience in operations, logistics, distribution, and inventory
• Experience in the cannabis industry highly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage projects and multi-task
• Adaptability and resilience to change
• Calm under pressure
• Safety and Compliance focused
