Role Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Product / Systems Analyst Technical Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Investment Banking and Capital Markets.
• The ideal candidate will work closely with Front Office, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to understand investment workflows and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
• The role will focus on investment workflows, requirements analysis, backlog definition, acceptance criteria, system documentation, and pilot feedback, serving as a key bridge between business and technology teams.

Day to Day Job Duties:

• Partner with Investment Banking/Capital Markets stakeholders to understand business processes, investment workflows, and technology requirements.
• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, system requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Work with Product Owners to define, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, requirement workshops, backlog refinement, and solution discussions.
• Analyze existing investment workflows and identify process and system improvement opportunities.
• Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, data-flow analysis, and system dependency assessments.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and integration teams to clarify functional and technical requirements.
• Analyze APIs, interfaces, data flows, and upstream/downstream system dependencies.
• Define acceptance criteria and support functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Support UAT and pilot implementations, collect user feedback, and translate findings into backlog enhancements.
• Validate delivered functionality against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare process flows, system documentation, functional specifications, data mappings, and operating procedures.
• Track requirements, defects, dependencies, risks, and change requests through delivery.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

Basic Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Systems Analyst.
• 4+ years of experience within Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Investment Management technology.
• 4+ years of experience in requirements analysis, user stories, backlog management, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• 3+ years of experience analyzing APIs, system integrations, data flows, and upstream/downstream application dependencies.

Nice to Have:

• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and Front-to-Back investment workflows.
• Experience with asset classes such as Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, or Securities.
• Exposure to Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Operations, Settlement, or Regulatory Reporting systems.
• Experience with Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS), or investment platforms.
• Knowledge of FIX, market/reference data, trade booking, confirmation, clearing, and settlement processes.
• Hands-on SQL experience for data analysis and validation.
• Experience working with REST APIs and system integration specifications.
• Experience supporting pilot programs, production rollouts, and post-implementation feedback.
• Experience working with globally distributed business and technology teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
