Restaurant General Manager

An acclaimed, luxury country retreat and boutique hotel in New York's scenic Hudson Valley is seeking a hands-on Restaurant General Manager to lead front-of-house operations and drive culinary excellence. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to join a non-corporate, creative culture, partner closely with top-tier culinary leadership, and help guide the beverage and dining operations through upcoming property expansions.
Compensation & Benefits: $85,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience) + annual bonus, benefits, PTO and more! Responsibilities:• Leads hands-on FOH operations and hospitality standards, training/mentoring staff and leadership while partnering with culinary teams on service execution.
• Manages operational administration-staffing, scheduling, payroll, and labor efficiency-alongside beverage programs and financial oversight across current and future outlets.
• Runs pre-shift meetings and ongoing service/wine education while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service standards.
• Oversees wine service, private dining, special events, and seasonal programming.
• Delivers personalized, elevated guest experiences as the visible leader on the floor during service. Requirements:
• 5+ years managing upscale/luxury/fine dining restaurants, with Michelin-level, boutique resort, or destination dining experience a plus.
• Deep knowledge of elevated service sequences, hospitality standards, and fine beverage/wine programs.
• Compassionate, hands-on leadership with a track record of mentoring teams in non-corporate settings.
• Tech-savvy with Lightspeed POS, Resy, Paychex, Stripe, and Excel (tip pools, scheduling).
• Strong financial acumen in beverage cost, labor efficiency, and budgeting, paired with calm, organized problem-solving and flexibility to work evenings/weekends/holidays.
