VP Data Product Development (Hybrid)

About the Role The American Medical Association (AMA) is seeking a VP of Data Product Development (Hybrid) to join our Health Solutions team in Chicago, IL. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in the office. This role provides leadership for the strategy, growth, and performance of the VeriCre credentialing solutions portfolio and the broader Physician Professional Data business. You will be accountable for driving product innovation, market expansion, and revenue growth across database licensing, credentialing solutions, and the Physician Verification Service. Responsibilities Physician Professional Data Product Management Lead the Health Solutions Physician Professional Data product portfolio, establishing roadmaps that sustain revenue while advancing new market opportunities. Lead annual and quarterly planning to prioritize projects and ensure strategic alignment. Oversee reporting on the status and health of Health Solutions portfolio projects. Drive change management to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Manage the execution and completion of multiple, simultaneous projects. Physician Professional Data Strategy and Governance Lead the strategy, stewardship, and operations of Physician Professional Data across the AMA. Partner with DataLabs and the Enterprise Data Office to advance data quality, analytics, and governance. Serve as the enterprise authority on Physician Professional Data, providing strategic guidance and ensuring trusted access to data assets. Lead the AMA cross-functional Physician Professional Data Steering Committee. Represent the AMA in the market as an expert on physician data. Credentialing Solutions Own the strategic direction and growth of the VeriCre credentialing solutions portfolio. Drive market expansion and commercialization strategy to strengthen VeriCre's competitive position. Lead cross-functional execution across product, technology, operations, sales, and marketing. Oversee the financial performance and business outcomes of the VeriCre portfolio. Champion innovation in credentialing data, workflow, and interoperability. Staff Management Lead, mentor, and provide management oversight for staff. Set objectives, evaluate performance, and foster a collaborative team environment. Develop staff knowledge and skills to support career development. Requirements Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred. 15+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or equivalent role focused on physician data. 10+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs. 10+ years of people management experience. Experience in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Strong business acumen and ability to influence leadership. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated expertise in using metrics and analytics to drive recommendations. Proficiency in financial analysis and business planning. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $239,292 - $323,044.
