Application Engineer, Technical Sales - Defense

Salary: $108,600 - 181,000 per year Requirements:

• We need a bachelors degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related technical field from an accredited institution.
• We need at least 5 years of progressive engineering experience in application engineering, systems engineering, or power systems roles supporting complex technical programs.
• We need at least 3 years of experience preparing technical proposals for electrical systems.
• We need experience supporting defense, naval, or government-funded programs, including direct customer and stakeholder interaction.
• We need a strong background in electrical power systems, power electronics, or energy systems for mission-critical military applications.
• We need demonstrated experience with military base electrification projects, especially generation, distribution, and control.
• We need familiarity with defense standards, qualification processes, and configuration control practices.
• We need U.S. citizenship.
• We need the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
• We need the ability to travel up to 20% based on business needs.

• We develop technical proposals for military base electrification projects focused on generation, distribution, and control.
• We provide technical leadership throughout the sales project lifecycle, from requirements definition and system architecture to proposal submission and design reviews.
• We serve as the primary technical point of contact for defense customers and prime contractors.
• We translate customer operational needs into system-level solutions and specifications.
• We collaborate with internal engineering, product management, and program teams to ensure solutions align with functional requirements, technical and environmental standards, and mission objectives.
• We support military or government programs by managing requirements flow-down, compliance, and technical customer reviews.
• We balance priorities and workloads across multiple concurrent programs.
• We present complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
