The Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality in medication dispensing and patient care. This role involves managing inventory, supervising staff, counseling patients, and verifying prescriptions to support effective and efficient pharmacy services.
Responsibilities
- Manage medication procurement, storage, and dispensing processes
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy laws
- Control inventory to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize waste
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff to optimize team performance
- Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and safety
- Verify the accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions
- Implement and monitor quality assurance and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of pharmacy transactions and activities
- Oversee overall pharmacy operations to ensure smooth workflow
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a pharmacy setting
