Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care for surgical patients across assigned cases, including preoperative assessment, positioning, intraoperative support, and postoperative recovery.
• Maintain the sterile field and assist the surgical team with instruments, supplies, and equipment throughout procedures.
• Monitor patient status during surgery, respond to changes, and collaborate with anesthesia providers to ensure patient safety.
• Document perioperative care and intraoperative events accurately in the electronic medical record (Epic) and ensure clear handoffs to the post-anesthesia care team.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility standards to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active RN license in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
• Epic experience required
• Ability to work in a surgical OR environment and complete required facility orientation
