Assembly Technician

Job Description Job Description JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the assembly of custom engineered Pressure Relief Devices. These devices constitute two, three or four-piece components of various custom engineered components made from mostly stainless steel that are prepared into kits, placed into a custom fixture that is then cycled into an automated laser welding machine, and then removed for checking and packaging. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Using manual, semi-automated or automated presses to perform work on ferrous and non-ferrous materials to create precision components manufactured in progressive die sets Operate 30-ton Minster press, 110 ton Servo press and associated test press Configuring equipment, feeding material onto the equipment and feeding material through the die and removing parts from the die. Measuring and qualifying finished product Complete paperwork and documents associated with each order Manufacture products from work orders, drawings, engineering instructions and other related control documents Follow requirements set forth from the Quality Department Help and train other personnel as directed by Supervisor. Observes safety rules. Suggests methods to improve efficiency and safety on the shop floor. Keeps work area clean and orderly. OTHER FUNCTIONS: Performs other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
