Join a team pushing the boundaries of advanced composites and building the future of the industry!Position OverviewThe Quality Control Inspector II is responsible for ensuring all parts manufactured within Composite Factory or its sub-contractors meet the fit, form, and function criteria set by the customers and/or engineering standards. In addition, examines finished carbon fiber product for defects or deviations from specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral knowledge of composites design and manufacturing preferredGeneral knowledge of company process and product lineUnderstand and follow all written documents including standard operating procedures (SOPs), forms, test methods and test specificationsHave the ability to perform inspection duties for carbon fiber componentsMechanical/dimensional inspection of a diverse product lineVisual inspection on workmanship criteriaUnderstanding of basic GD&T (blueprint reading)Inspect parts using PCMM and other standard metrology equipment for weights and measures (calipers, micrometers, depth gauge, gauge pins, Romer arm, etc.) keeping detailed records (weights, checklists, reports, etc.) in an organized and standard fashionGather data from various tools, gages, and tooling systems and prepare qualityDocument nonconformance via NCR process. Aim to achieve timely disposition of nonconforming parts.Developing knowledge of company ERP system. Process incoming RMA's as assigned.Bring problems/issues to attention of Quality Control Lead, Supervisor, Manager as appropriateWork efficiently to achieve targeted goals as set by the production scheduleCommunicate to the manufacturing team any issues or opportunities that may affect product qualityMultitask, prioritize work, and remain organized in job functionMust adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policiesPerform additional tasks related to quality control as assigned by management.What You Will Bring to the TeamHigh school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) requiredMinimum of four (4) years of industry experience and in a similar roleMust have the ability, experience, and skills to be able to contribute to formal problem-solving activitiesThorough knowledge of composite materials related manufacturing equipment and processes a plusMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be well organized and have the ability to multitaskAttention to detail and good documentation practicesSelf-starter, results-oriented individual with ability to organize and analyze dataProficient with MS Office products.
