Position Overview:

G.E. Mechanical provides service 24/7, 365 days a year, including Holidays. After hours Emergency Service is addressed through our phone system which will put any customer in need of service directly in touch with an on-call Technician. Our work is trusted as we provide worry-free services our customers can always count on. The HVAC/R Service Technician's responsibility is to provide high-quality heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration services to commercial customers using expertise in HVAC systems and troubleshooting.

Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Responsibilities:

• Installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance services for commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems
• Commercial/industrial customers include restaurant equipment, convenience stores, cold storage facilities, distribution companies, and super market refrigeration
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC systems to including split systems, chillers, packaged units, oil- and gas-fired boilers and control systems
• Food service preparation equipment
• Ability to work with tablet-based service ticket software system for all HVAC/R work performed
• Perform HVAC/R preventative maintenance service for contract customers
• Ability to work overtime as needed and be part of a scheduled HVAC/R on-call rotation

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED
• 3+ years of HVAC/R Service

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience
• Commercial and residential air conditioning and gas/oil heat service experience
• Commercial and/or residential HVAC replacement experience
• Food service equipment experience
• Understanding of control systems and wiring
• EPA certification
• Professional, ethical, and a team player willing to grow with the company

Earn up to $48.73 per hour plus the ability to earn higher plus union benefits package. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. Rewarding your performance.
