Your Role as Clinical Supervisor The Clinical Supervisor provides supervision and leadership to the clinical team in an outpatient opioid treatment program. Responsibilities include maintaining professional practice standards, directing patient care, facilitating workflows, and serving as a resource for staff. Role Responsibilities Supervise clinical staff in the OTP recovery environment. Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, CARF standards, and corporate policies. Monitor counselor productivity and develop improvement plans when needed. Assign staff, create schedules, and update support staff on changes. Conduct patient treatment‑plan reviews as required. Perform chart audits and communicate audit results to staff. Assist with recruitment, hiring, and training of qualified clinical staff. Engage in crisis intervention and act as a liaison with the community. Promote ethical and professional conduct among clinical staff. Education & Qualifications Master’s degree in behavioral or related field with 2 years of clinical experience in a health or human‑service agency. Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or related field with 3 years of clinical experience in a health or human‑service agency. Associate’s degree in behavioral or related field with 4 years of clinical experience in a health or human‑service agency. Degree from an accredited college or university. Experience & Skills Minimum 2 years supervised substance‑use/addiction counseling experience. Minimum 1 year full‑time equivalent supervisory experience. Leadership experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, including outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities. In‑depth knowledge of Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone). Experience supervising and mentoring staff in individual/group counseling for substance‑use disorders. Strong understanding of evidence‑based practices (CBT, MI, relapse prevention) and ability to train staff. Oversight of clinical documentation ensuring accuracy and compliance with state/federal guidelines. Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory standards (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission) and audit readiness. Success in fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high‑quality care. Required Licenses/Certifications LCAS or LCAS‑A (NCSAPPB)
