About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid (5x8-Hour, 14:00 - 22:00); Day (5x8-Hour, 11:00 - 19:00) Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year minimum License: Required, compact license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCRN*, PALS, CPAN* Must-Have: Flexible schedule, must be available for variable shifts Description: The start times for shifts will vary depending on the area assigned for the day. Shifts start between 06:00 and 08:30. Candidates must be flexible. Patients will vary by acuity, and nurses scheduled are expected to complete their shifts. Outpatient surgery does not provide shift relief. Previous experience in trauma level I or II facilities is preferred. Travel experience is required. Candidates should have the ability to manage and recognize dysrhythmias. Experience with various surgical specialties is needed, including neuro, ortho, and vascular. Nurses will care for a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is expected to be 25 - 30 patients. Candidates may need to float between facilities in the region. Refusal to float could result in termination of assignment. Communication devices necessary for the job will be provided. Module completion is required pre-start and during orientation. References covering 1 year during the compliance process are required prior to start. Must commit to working holidays as specified. No contact with facility staff is allowed unless previously arranged for an interview.
