We are growing our revenue team with a motivated, hunter-driven Business Development Representative who excels in regulated industries and has a strong understanding of the distribution and logistics of restricted goods across the U.S.
Job Summary: This role focuses on supporting outbound sales efforts across regulated product industries, including Farm Bill–compliant hemp products, nicotine, vape, alcohol beverage, pharmaceutical, and other age-restricted categories. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting, qualifying potential customers, and building a strong sales pipeline for the senior sales team. The ideal candidate is confident in cold outreach, skilled at initiating conversations with decision-makers, and motivated by pipeline generation and business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and targeted account prospecting
- Identify and engage DTC and B2B brands in need of compliant fulfillment and logistics solutions
- Develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospective customers within regulated product industries
- Generate leads by identifying customer needs, operational requirements, and decision-making processes.
- Conduct initial discovery conversations and coordinate handoff of qualified opportunities to senior sales team members for advanced sales discussions and closing activities
- Support account-based sales initiatives targeting strategic customers and high-growth markets
- Maintain consistent communication with prospects throughout the early sales cycle
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to support onboarding readiness and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, prospect activity tracking, and sales reporting
- Maintain awareness of state-by-state regulations related to hemp, nicotine products, and other regulated goods
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and virtual conferences as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, lead generation, or a related role
- Proven experience with outbound prospecting and pipeline generation
- Strong cold calling, email outreach, and relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of DTC and B2B fulfillment, including pick/pack, shipping, and inventory workflows
- Exposure to regulated goods (nicotine, hemp, alcohol beverage, pharma, or similar) is a plus
- Familiarity with compliance considerations across state lines, or the ability to quickly learn regulatory requirements
- Ability to effectively explain moderately complex concepts to prospective customers
- Organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage pipeline and sales activities independently
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
- Experience using CRM tools such as Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar

Base Salary: $50,000–$60,000 Commission: Earn 2% annually on all top-line revenue generated from new business. The role is budgeted for $2M in incremental annual revenue, with uncapped earning potential for motivated hunters. On-Target Earnings (OTE): Significant upside potential driven by a recurring revenue model. Work Flexibility: Fully remote position with occasional travel required for key meetings and trade shows.
