Payroll Associate

Process and analyze time, earnings, and deductions/withholdings on a weekly basis to derive accurate net pay in compliance with union contracts and Human Resource/unit policies.

Independently analyze and resolve complex payroll issues.

Communicate with employees of various levels regarding pay questions, processes, and training.

Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with peers, unit partners, and other functional areas.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong analytical skills and experience with complex data analysis.

Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to quickly learn multiple Payroll/IT software systems.

Ability to approach change with a positive mindset.

Ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Experience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Mature candidates who can handle confidential information.

Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax.

Experience maintaining confidential information.

Proficiency with SAP.

Experience using IBM/Host applications, such as TSO (Time Sharing Option) and RMDS (Report Management and Distribution System).

Associate or bachelor's degree in a business or accounting discipline or equivalent experience.

Here are the shift hours for this position- Monday and Tuesday: start time is 6:30 (this is when payroll is run as a team). Wednesday-Friday: Shift start time can be flexible. This position will work onsite.

Cross border work is not permitted for this role. Business casual dress code. Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.

The hourly rate for this position is between $17.00-$18.50 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include [geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate].
