Assistant to the Dean

The School of Medicine Office of the Dean at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans is actively recruiting a highly motivated, organized individual to perform key administrative duties for the School of Medicine in support of the full scope and mission of the LSU Health Sciences Center at New Orleans. The incumbent will also serve as the Dean’s initial liaison to faculty, staff, and outside constituents. Responsibilities Manage daily operations of the School of Medicine Dean's Office. Compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex documents. Manage the Dean’s schedule. Review and process all School of Medicine state travel priors and Foundation priors, Foundation check requests, and additional documentation that requires the approval of the Dean and Associate Dean for Finance and Administration. Coordinate and execute travel arrangements. Coordinate meetings and events and handle all related arrangements. Serve as the primary liaison for the Office of the Dean and first point of contact for visitors, faculty, and staff to the Office of the Dean. Answer and direct calls, prioritize mail and correspondence, and screen and direct visitors. Effectively communicate and manage relationships with leadership, faculty, staff, and trainees at LSUHSC as well as external agencies, companies, and organizations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. Four years of relevant professional level experience required. Master’s degree can substitute for two years of experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
