Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a Level I Trauma facility requiring an active FL or compact license and two years of recent telemetry experience.

Details

• Telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required if needed
• Float to other telemetry floors as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required in hand
• BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
• NIHSS certification required
• Two years of recent, consecutive telemetry experience within a US hospital in the past 24 months required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Degree from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution required
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team activation
• Experience managing cardiac drips (no titration), nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Must complete Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks

Additional Information

• Provide bedside care to telemetry patients including monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response
• Smoke-free facility
• Must pass a basic arrhythmia/EKG assessment prior to starting first shift
• Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius at a reduced rate
• Former Broward Health permanent employees must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale schools are not accepted
