Accounts Payable Coordinator

Accounts Payable Coordinator
Our client, a real estate company in Houston, TX, is in need of an Accounts Payable Coordinator for a six-month contract, likely to convert to full-time. Working onsite daily, the AP Coordinator will be responsible for processing vendor invoices efficiently, coordinating with internal operations centers, and ensuring all payables are properly coded and documented for timely payment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and prior experience in construction accounting processes.
Core responsibilities include processing high volumes of vendor invoices, reviewing and mailing checks weekly, coordinating invoice submissions and managing the invoice email inbox, and ensuring accurate numbers and cost coding.
Required skills:
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience; construction industry preferred
- High volume (handling hundreds of invoices or checks/week) experience is required
- Strong understanding of lien waivers, pay estimates, and retainage processes in construction
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities with accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills to internal and external stakeholders
- Metaviewer experience is a major plus
