These are the qualifications that matter:
- Cut, shape, and trim metal or plastic blanks using power saws, shears, and hand tools.
- Conduct test runs on tools and dies; adjust to meet specifications.
- Fit, assemble, and repair dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using machine and hand tools.
- Set up and operate CNC or conventional machines to create parts to the required dimensions and finishes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or models to plan machining operations.
- Measure and mark materials for machining using precision instruments.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, alignment, and quality using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical associate's degree preferred
- 3-6 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
