CNC Machinist

CNC Machinists play a critical role in producing high-precision medical device components , where consistency, accuracy, and quality directly impact patient outcomes. --- The Work You’ll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up, operate, and adjust CNC milles, lathes, or swiss machines for precision production Load parts, monitor cycles, and make offset adjustments as needed Inspect parts using blueprints, gauges, and precision measuring tools Hold tight tolerances required for medical device manufacturing Troubleshoot machining issues and correct problems to maintain quality Deburr, buff, and finish parts to print specifications Perform routine preventative maintenance on assigned machines Follow safety, quality, and lean manufacturing standards --- Machines, Controls & Inspection You’ll work with CNC equipment and inspection tools such as: Machines: Star and Citizen CNC Swiss Machines Multi-axis CNC mills and lathes Controls: Fanuc / Haas-style controls (typical) Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, gauges, blueprint & GD&T interpretation --- Materials You’ll Work With Medical-grade metals and components Small, tight-tolerance precision parts --- What We’re Looking For Required: 2+ years of CNC machining experience High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read blueprints and work to close tolerances Experience inspecting parts and maintaining dimensional accuracy Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented Preferred (Not Required): Experience in medical device manufacturing Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices Experience with both CNC mills and lathes --- Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose Viant Medical because of: Clean, climate-controlled, and well-organized shop environment Stable schedules with consistent hours Day-one benefits and attendance bonuses Opportunities to grow within a global medical device company Work that directly supports life-saving and life-enhancing products --- Pay, Benefits & Schedule Pay: $25.00 – $25.00/hour (DOE) Shift Premium: +10% for 2nd shift or 3rd shift Benefits (Day 1 Eligibility): Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life & disability coverage 3.5 weeks PTO (prorated) Perfect Attendance Bonus – up to $800 annually Career growth and advancement opportunities Schedule: 1st Shift: 6 am - 2 pm Monday - Friday 2nd Shift: 2 pm - 10 pm Monday - Friday 3rd Shift: 10 pm - 6 am Monday - Saturday Overtime as needed --- Apply Interested machinists can apply directly through hireCNC .
