CNC LATHE MACHINIST

Dynomax, Inc is a family owned company that designs, manufactures, and develops high-precision machined components, sub-assemblies, and electrical components for the aerospace and defense industries.  We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist who desires exciting and challenging work to join our Aerospace Manufacturing team.

The Lathe Machinist will be responsible for setting up one or more lathes for advanced components utilizing metal machining knowledge. Aerospace or medical experience is preferred. This is a 1st Shift, Direct Hire from Day 1 position.

CNC LATHE MACHINIST RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and interpret blue prints, work instructions and other engineering information to determine the machining process and sequence of operations
• Measure dimensions and tolerances using hand measuring tools
• Machine parts to specifications on Samsung SL 25 or SL 35 CNC Lathes
• Setup and adjust holding fixtures, machine tools and work material in accordance to work instructions with assistance
• Calculate and monitor speed and feeds of the machine with assistance of Department Supervisor.
• Ensure work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during the machining process
• Conduct proper inspection of first-run and in-process parts
• Make adjustments to CNC programs

CNC LATHE MACHINIST REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Read and understand G and M codes and able to edit programs at the control
• Setup and operate CNC Lathe
• Proficient in algebra and trigonometry
• Blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency
• Experience working with Alloys, Stainless Steel, Titanium, and other Super Alloys

CNC LATHE MACHINIST PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years experience as CNC Lathe Machinist 
• 3+ years of experience using hand measuring tools
• 3+ years of experience with FANUC machine controls
