Manager, Human Resources - MedicalThe Manager, Human Resources manages HR support staff and acts in an advisory capacity, serving as a consultant to various client groups. The incumbent oversees human resources policies and procedures related to employee relations, compensation and benefits program administration, performance management and other special projects. The Manager, Human Resources works closely with both managers and employees to establish, maintain, and improve effective work relationships, build morale, attract, develop and retain talent, to support the University of Miami's mission.Responsibilities include managing human resources support staff, counseling and advising employees and managers on internal employee relations practices, working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, building morale and increasing productivity and retention, initiating, developing and executing work environment assessments, conducting thorough and objective investigations, summarizing investigation findings and recommendations, conducting routine meetings with respective business units, ensuring all requested personnel actions are compliant with University policy and procedures, assisting with departmental restructuring, succession planning, job description development and revisions, establishing and maintaining open lines of communication with all client groups, organizing, inputting and ensuring the maintenance of HR information into the enterprise resource planning system, generating and analyzing reports to develop and recommend solutions, programs and or policies to the client base, completing special projects or assignments, and establishing and continuously assessing the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field.Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
