In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience./ppWhat you will do in this role:/pulliAssess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status./liliPerform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider./liliDocument the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner./liliPerform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response./liliMaintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients./liliNIGHT-SHIFT (3 12-hr shifts; 7P - 7A); exceptional opportunities for skill growth professional development under supportive, dynamic leadership; manage complex cardiac conditions; supportive team culture./li/ulpWhat qualifications you will need:/pulliGraduate of school of nursing required./liliCurrently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation./liliCurrent BCLS. Ability to achieve and maintain ACLS certification within 90 days of hire./li/ulpOverland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson Countys only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Womens Childrens healthcare services. We offer the regions only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU.
