Position Summary:

The DC Manager oversees the daily operations, activities and resources to ensure operating efficiencies and profitability of the distribution center. They develop strategies and objectives to maximize productivity while managing cost containment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Directs day-to-day activities of the distribution center to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations
• Reviews daily shipment schedule to plan and prioritize daily work schedule to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Focuses on continuous improvement and makes decisions to enhance value, service and profitability.
• Manages and leads a team of associates.

• Oversees maintenance of all distribution center equipment, providing preventive maintenance and necessary repairs.
• Ensures the safety and efficiency of equipment used to perform distribution functions.

• Monitors and maintains an organized facility.
• Enforces policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective and safe distribution center operations.
• Oversees distribution compliance for inventory management, cycle counting and product handling.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong people skills and emotional awareness.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and in WMS and ERP systems.
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and lean thinking knowledge.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with an emphasis on operations management or supply chain.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing in a distribution center environment.

Supervisory responsibilities:

• Directs and manages a team of Distribution Center Specialists.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Both office and manufacturing environment.
