A nationally recognized academic pediatric hematology/oncology program in Los Angeles, California is seeking an experienced Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) for a per diem weekend role supporting an expanding infusion center at one of the country's premier children's health programs. This Saturday and Sunday position — 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM — was created specifically to extend infusion center hours and increase access to care for pediatric oncology patients and families, making it a high-impact, focused role for an experienced CPNP-AC who wants meaningful weekend work at a world-class institution without a full-time commitment. The APP will oversee patient safety, coordinate timely evaluations and interventions, and ensure consistent high-quality outpatient care across expanded infusion hours. Key Responsibilities Oversee patient safety and coordinate evaluations and interventions in the pediatric hematology/oncology infusion center Manage outpatient infusion care for pediatric oncology patients and families during expanded weekend hours Ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery as patient volume increases Collaborate with attending physicians and interdisciplinary pediatric oncology team Conduct timely clinical assessments and document patient care comprehensively Act as independent clinical resource during Saturday and Sunday shifts Maintain compliance with all CA NP licensing, DEA, PECOS, and CURES requirements Qualifications Active California NP, NPF, and RN license (required) CPNP-AC board certification required MSN or higher in Pediatric Acute Care NP specialty required NPI# and DEA# required | PECOS and CURES enrollment required BLS (AHA/ARC) and PALS (AHA) certifications required Minimum 3 years acute pediatric NP experience required Minimum 3 years pediatric oncology NP experience strongly preferred Strong independent practice skills with minimal supervision Schedule & Compensation $98.95/hour PTO/sick days | Malpractice insurance covered Immediate hire Hiring now!
