Description

• Conduct evaluations for various populations utilizing standardized assessments coupled with observational approaches.
• Create individualized treatment plans dedicated to meeting both immediate and long-term goals for communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Engage multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to forge integrated care plans.
• Provide educational support to patients and their families to enhance progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with all applicable state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Commit to ongoing education and collaborative relationships to remain informed on innovations in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be secured within 30 days of employment.
