School / Program: The Educational Services Commission of New Jersey: Aquatics and Fitness Center

Start Date: Immediately Pending Criminal History Clearance

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience with Daxko Operations or similar membership management software preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash, credit, and point-of-sale transactions accurately.
• Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and use of office software.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, member-facing environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Reports To: Membership Supervisor

Function:

The Membership Desk Representative serves as the first point of contact for members and guests at the ESCNJ Aquatics and Fitness Center (AFC). This position is responsible for greeting members, managing membership accounts through Daxko Operations, processing transactions, and supporting the overall member experience. The Membership Desk Representative plays a key role in maintaining a welcoming, organized, and efficient front desk that reflects the professionalism of the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Member Account Management: Use Daxko Operations to create, update, and maintain accurate membership account records, including personal information, billing details, and membership status.
• Member Communication and Service: Greet all members and guests warmly upon entry, answer questions, and communicate policies, programs, and facility updates in a clear and friendly manner.
• Membership Signups and Sales: Facilitate new membership signups, explain membership options and pricing, and process guest passes for visitors.
• Retail and Concession Sales: Sell merchandise, food, and beverages at the membership desk, ensuring accurate pricing and transaction handling.
• Transaction Handling: Process membership payments, guest pass sales, and retail transactions using the facility's point-of-sale and billing systems, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Desk and Product Maintenance: Keep the membership desk area clean, organized, and well-stocked; restock merchandise, food, and beverage items as needed throughout each shift.
• Supervisor Communication: Communicate with the Membership Supervisor regarding account issues, member concerns, inventory needs, or other matters requiring escalation or guidance.
• Member Relations: Support ongoing positive relationships with members by addressing concerns promptly, following up as needed, and contributing to a welcoming facility atmosphere.
• Other duties as assigned by the Membership Supervisor.

Evaluation: Performance of this job to be evaluated by the Membership Supervisor.

Hourly Rate: $21.63 Hourly as Needed
