Job Details Job ID: 5843562 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: Jul 21, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Aug 27, 2026 Job Description Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, the Cook/Baker cooks, bakes, and prepares food for consumption by students and school personnel and maintains facilities in a sanitary condition. Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work with students, staff and public. Ability to solve challenging situations. Ability to manage complex projects and multiple deadlines. Essential Job Duties Prepares and serves food and beverage items to meet mandated nutritional requirements, projected meal requirements, planned menus and catering needs. Cleans and maintains utensils and equipment; and the areas used for storage, food preparation and serving for maintaining safe and sanitary conditions. Prepares required documentation and necessary reports. Requests food, equipment and supplies to maintain inventory. Maintains positive relations with students, staff and community. Accounts for appropriate cash transactions. Additional Job Functions Assists other personnel as required. Maintains prompt and regular attendance. Completes all other job duties as needed. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is generally performed in a school environment during the school day. Must be able to walk, climb, stoop, reach and bend. Job Requirements At least 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred. High School/Trade School degree preferred.
