General Manager - Extended Stay Hotel

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations for one of our extended stay properties. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading and developing team members, and ensuring compliance with all company, brand, federal, state, and local standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, takes pride in operational excellence, and understands the importance of balancing guest satisfaction, team engagement, and financial success.

Essential Functions: (Include but are not limited to)

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop property team members to achieve operational and financial goals.
• Foster a positive, engaging work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
• Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with direct reports and all team members.
• Ensure team members receive appropriate service, technical, and operational training.

Operations & Guest Experience

• Oversee all day-to-day property operations to ensure exceptional guest service and brand consistency.
• Maintain the property at the highest levels of cleanliness, appearance, and overall quality.
• Conduct regular property and guest room inspections to proactively identify and address cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and operational concerns.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Monitor maintenance activities, repairs, and property improvements to protect and enhance the physical asset.

Financial Management

• Review financial reports, budgets, and performance metrics to evaluate property performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Analyze profit and loss statements and implement corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
• Manage operational costs, including labor, supplies, utilities, and other controllable expenses within budgeted parameters.
• Coach and support the team in effectively managing occupancy, rates, payroll, and operating expenses while maintaining superior guest satisfaction.

Sales & Revenue Growth

• Drive revenue through effective sales, marketing, and business development initiatives.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the local market and build relationships within the community to enhance the property's visibility and performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve occupancy, market share, and overall profitability.

  Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent management experience directly overseeing hotel, extended-stay, or similar hospitality property operations within Nevada required.
• Must currently reside in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. Relocation candidates will not be considered for this position.
• Hands-on experience managing day-to-day property operations, including guest service, team leadership, maintenance coordination, property standards, and overall operational performance.
• Strong understanding of hotel/extended-stay operations, financial management, sales, occupancy, and guest service.
• Experience reviewing financial reports, budgets, and performance metrics and using data to make informed business decisions.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-development skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing operational needs in a fast-paced property environment.
• Reliable transportation to and from the property is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with occasional exposure to varying weather conditions during property inspections and site walks.
• Frequent walking throughout the property, including guest rooms, common areas, parking lots, exterior grounds, and operational spaces.
• Regular use of stairs and navigation of multi-story buildings during property inspections and operational oversight.
• Frequent standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the workday.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds, including office supplies, packages, signage, and operational materials.
• Regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, and scanners.
• Flexibility to respond to after-hours guest, property, or emergency situations as business needs require.
