Senior Accountant

Title: Senior Accountant Location: Charlotte, NC The Senior Accountant is a member of the finance and accounting team whose primary responsibilities are performing, managing and overseeing accounting duties for a well-established hospitality company based in Charlotte, NC. JOB DUTIES:
- Oversee month-end and quarter-end financial close processes and related reporting.
- Perform daily income audits, including account balancing and reconciliations.
- Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and post intercompany journal entries and expense allocations.
- Assist with processing vendor invoices, employee expense reports, petty cash vouchers, and other disbursements.
- Respond to vendor questions and resolve payment-related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and accessible financial records and supporting documentation.
- Support the Accounts Payable month-end close process.
- Research and analyze market conditions and historical occupancy trends.
- Coordinate with external auditors and respond to audit requests and inquiries.
- Must have a minimum of associate's degree in accounting.
- Must have at least 3 years of hospitality accounting experience
- Prior staff accounting or corporate accounting experience is a plus
- Excel proficiency
- Experience working with a larger ERP system
