Qualifications:
- Current NM state (NMRLD) Physical Therapy license required by the start date
- NMPED certification (may be in pending status at the time of hire)
- Experience in a school setting is preferred, but open to enthusiastic new graduates
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Passion for empowering students to achieve their physical and educational goals
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions across a reasonable and manageable caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s development
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer expertise regarding physical development to educational staff and caregivers
- Caseload ages can be discussed in the interview to match your professional interests
