Patient Advocate And Liaison

Functions as a patient advocate and liaison with the healthcare team. Ensures regulatory compliance as it pertains to patient rights and problem resolution.

Position Responsibilities:

• Problem Resolution/follow-up: Investigate and resolve complaint/grievance and provide appropriate follow-up to patient/designated support team and staff.
• Patient Advocate: Assures patient rights, privacy, cultural needs and spiritual needs are respected.
• Healthcare team liaison: Works as a liaison with patient/designated support team and staff to maintain open lines of communication and assure understanding of plan of care.
• Regulatory compliance: Ensuring regulatory compliance for ADA, CMS, LEP, HIPPA and the Joint Commission and maintaining appropriate documentation.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:

• Minimum of two years healthcare experience.
• Must have knowledge of hospital policies and procedures, community resources and legal aspects of healthcare.
• Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to provide conflict resolution.
• Required Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience.

Hourly Rate: $24.51 - $36.89 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
