Speech Language Pathologist

Driven Behavioral Support is an established Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) practice for individuals with special needs. To expand the expertise that we are able to offer to our clients, we are now seeking a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the team! This SLP should have experience with children and individuals with special needs, and is also passionate about collaboration across disciplines to improve the quality of support that can be provided to the client! This is a unique opportunity for an SLP who enjoys clinical independence, collaboration, and the opportunity to grow a high‑quality speech therapy program within an established organization that prides itself in going above and beyond to support the families that we work with. Unlike a traditional speech therapy clinic, our practice specializes in ABA services and as such, the SLP will work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), caregivers, and other team members to provide coordinated, interdisciplinary care. Responsibilities Speech Therapy Services Expertise in a wide range of skills aimed at improving speech, language, voice, and cognitive‑communication. Experience in swallowing or feeding abilities would be beneficial, but not required. Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess and diagnose disorders in speech and language, voice, and fluency. Assessment of swallowing/feeding difficulties is preferred, but not required. Utilization of standardized assessments, clinical observations, and other diagnostic tools. Develop treatment plans and track progress throughout the course of intervention. Assess the need for, and implementation of, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. Collaborate with clients, families, and caregivers to customize AAC and other recommended solutions to enhance the client’s communication and participation in functional daily activities. Provide caregiver training and education to support communication development outside of therapy sessions. Collaboration with ABA Team Collaborate regularly with BCBAs and the DBS therapy teams to coordinate treatment goals and behavioral interventions across environments. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings regarding client progress, communication goals, and behavioral considerations. Provide recommendations to ABA staff regarding communication strategies, language development, and ensure the speech therapy program complements the ABA treatment plan. Speech Therapy Program Development & Leadership Assist leadership in developing and implementing the company's speech therapy services, including speaking with prospective clients or current clients that receive ABA services, assisting with marketing or collaboration activities with outside providers, and assisting with development of the speech therapy program’s methodologies and priorities. Recommend resources, materials, and processes to support high‑quality speech therapy services. Assist with onboarding and/or training of future speech therapy staff as the practice expands. Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP), or pending within the next 3 months. Current state licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist, or pending within the next 3–6 months. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and/or developmental disabilities. Strong collaboration and communication skills, and passion for collaboration within a small interdisciplinary team. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team‑based environment.
